LOOK NO FURTHER THEN REGIONAL NZ!!!WE HAVE A NUMBER OF VACANCIES AVAILABLE IN OPOTIKI AND GISBORNE FOR SEASONAL WORKERS TO JOIN THE THOMPSONS TEAM FOR WINTER PRUNING. Thompson’s Horticulture Ltd (THL) is a family owned and operated business, involved in the management of approx. 100 hectares each of Kiwifruit and Grapes, spread between Opotiki and Gisborne with 50 permanent staff and upwards of 120 seasonal staff.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A HIGH LEVEL OF PHYSICAL FITNESS – pruning is critical to setting the production potential of our vineyards and orchards and is work that requires quick decision making
  • You will need to be AVAILABLE up to 6 DAYS PER WEEK – work commences late May, running for 12 weeks
  • EMPLOYMENT REFERENCES preferred – while previous outdoor work experience is preferred Thompsons will consider candidates new to the industry and provide comprehensive training from highly experienced managers
  • ONGOING work – Winter pruning is just the beginning and further work opportunities will be available for Spring, Summer and Harvest 2022
